As part of our ongoing commitment to helping schools and academies identify cost-saving opportunities, I wanted to make you aware of a new partnership we have established with Eyebright Utilities, a specialist organisation with significant experience in the education sector, having already worked with more than 600 schools nationally.
This partnership gives schools access to a fully funded surface water audit at no cost, designed to identify:
- Potential historic overpayments that may be recoverable as refunds.
- Incorrect charging structures or billing anomalies.
- Opportunities for ongoing reductions in annual surface water costs.
Importantly, around 20% of schools audited receive a refund, alongside cost reductions moving forward.
To illustrate the scale of opportunity, we recently introduced this service to The Constellation Trust, where cost savings of over £35,000 were achieved for one of their schools.
